It’s been another busy month for those of us at Morrisons Baillieston.
We donated wet food to Dogs Trust so the dogs in their care could enjoy a treat while waiting for their forever homes.
We also provided a range of raffle prizes, snacks and sweets for local schools, infant groups, care homes and respite centres. These helped raise funds for local organisations and gave people something tasty to enjoy.
In the run-up to Christmas, we welcomed choirs from Garrowhill Primary, St Bridget’s Primary, Caledonia Primary and a local Girl Guiding group to sing for our customers. Their performances were lovely, and we hope the choristers enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
We made a donation to Glasgow North East Foodbank, which supports communities including Shettleston, Parkhead, Easterhouse, Bridgeton and Riddrie. Our donation included tinned meat, cereals, soup and selection boxes. The foodbank continues to welcome donations.
Selection boxes were also donated to The People’s Pantry at Saint Augustine’s Church in Coatbridge, helping to bring a Christmas treat to service users.
Finally, we held an in-store collection for warm clothing and a raffle to raise funds for toys for Glasgow North East Social Work Children and Families.
