Morrisons Baillieston Community Update

We were delighted to support SAMH with donations for their new walk-in centre, The Nook, which opened in Glasgow in October.

Donations also went to Barlanark Family Centre, Caledonia Primary (supporting Rise and Shine, an autism charity), Garrowhill Primary, Swinton Primary, St Francis of Assisi Primary, Swintonhill and Baillieston Care Homes, and nurseries including Onslow Drive, St Bridget’s, Indigo, and Happitots. We also made a large food donation to the Everlasting Foodbank in Dennistoun.

In October, we joined Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend with a pink raffle and a bucket collection, led by volunteers Jane and Sandra, raising an amazing £400. Thank you to everyone who helped support this important cause.

We also took part in this year’s Halloween Walk, which was a huge success. Special thanks to Daytona for organising the event - we hope everyone had a great time!

Our store supported the Poppy Appeal, with volunteers collecting in-store for this very worthy charity.

Finally, thank you to Alison, who donated a bag of knitting for the Maternity Unit.
