Morrisons Baillieston Community Update

We recently visited the Maggie’s Centre to donate tea bags and cream eggs, which were used in their knitted chicks sold before Easter to raise funds for this amazing charity.

Since we couldn’t donate Easter eggs directly, we set up a donation station in the staff canteen. Thanks to our generous colleagues, we collected all the eggs requested by the Glasgow East Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service — and even had extras for the local food bank! A heartfelt thank you to the anonymous donor who gifted a book and Easter egg in lovely wee bags. The children who received them were delighted.

On Easter Sunday, one of our kind customers brought Easter eggs for all the staff — a truly thoughtful gesture that we deeply appreciated.

We also donated plants and soil to two local primary schools, helping the children enjoy outdoor planting and brighten up their school gardens.

In April, Graham, Colin, Pamela, and I joined the Glasgow Kiltwalk, raising funds for CHAS and Marie Curie. We all had a brilliant time taking part!

Since November, we’ve raised over £4,000 for our nominated charity, Marie Curie — an incredible achievement. Thank you to everyone who has helped us achieve this and for your continued support in all our community work.
