Thanks to everyone who voted in our schools and nurseries scarecrow competition. There were 3,828 votes and 1st prize with 1,100 votes goes to Bridgeton Family Learning Centre. They win a party for 60, goodie bags, Halloween games, gifts for the kids, fruit and a pumpkin. 2nd prize with 666 votes goes to Parkhead Community Nursery. They win goodie bags and a beautiful hand made fairy garden kindly donated by the Fairy Lady. 3rd prize with 335 votes goes to Parkhead Community Nursery. They win a designer birdhouse and goodie bags. Westercraigs Nursery and Fuse youth club will also receive goodie bags.
We supported Free Wheel North with a new microwave, biscuits and juices for their cafe. Thanks to Urban Fox Programme who donated £100 and Alba Heating for their £100 donations. We’ll use these to fund our outdoor work with schools and nurseries. Thanks to B&Q and Jewson who continue their generosity by donating plants and materials to help us transform outdoor play areas.
