Locals Help Danny’s Increase Free Food Bag Availability

Danny’s Convenience Store at 222 Main Street in Baillieston has increased how often it provides free food bags, following support from the local community.

After hearing about the initiative, members of the public began making cash donations. These contributions have helped Danny’s offer the food bags on an additional day each week, allowing the much-needed food bags to continue and expand.

The bags are now available for collection on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and are usually left outside the shop. During bad weather, they will be available in-store.

Each bag contains a selection of basic food items including pasta, soup, bread, tinned tomatoes, dried foods and biscuits.
