It’s been another super busy month for Tesco Parkhead out and about in the community.
We donated food and raffle prizes to Free Wheel North Community Cafe and Friends of Alexandra Park. We gave snacks and refreshments to the East End Kinship Care Group who are taking the children away on a day trip.
We completed a wee makeover on the garden at Blue Triangle, a young person's homeless shelter in Shettleston. We created a mini allotment and garden with bamboo, fruit trees, flowers, and lights. Donations made through our community bookcase helped with the renovation and we cannot thank our wonderful partners B&Q enough for all their support.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to Carntyne Credit Union for their donation of books to our community library. I’d also like to thank Johnstone's Decorating Centre who kindly gifted paint to help families in need.
Remember to take a blue token when you are next in the store. You’ll be able to vote for Bluevale Community Club, Church House, or the Mungo Foundation to receive funding. Voting ends on 30th September.
