And it’s me again... is it just me or is the time going a little quicker? Well glad to say I have managed to get out and about a little (while still observing safety and social distancing). I ventured to The Community of Helping Hands to see how the guys are getting on. The contribution this charity is making to the community is amazing. Jamie, Leeanne and all the volunteers work tirelessly to make sure that anyone who visits has a great experience. I have been lucky to be able to donate a lot of new clothes to the clothing section and will be there on Tuesdays for the foreseeable future for a catch-up and to help. I also had the pleasure of being able to donate some books and items to both Our Lady of Peace Primary and Aultmore Park Primary. These books will be added to the classroom libraries - happy reading!

One of the most well-received events I took part in last month was giving free soup packs at the exit of the store for families with children and people who were home-schooling. Packs were either for lentil and vegetable or leek and potato soup. We had some great feedback on these and this is something I hope to repeat at some point in the year. I am hoping that as lockdown lifts (and the weather gets better) I will be able to get out more and get back outdoors to Sandaig Nursery and complete the painting, as well as starting a new project with Lochview Nursery. If planting, painting, planning, and getting your hands dirty sounds good and you would like to help please get in touch - much help is required!

Remember that if you need me or would like and help/donate or need information you can contact me at the store. All donation request must be in writing, please. Also if you haven’t already please follow our Facebook page - Lu’s Community Page.
