Tesco Shettleston Extra Community Update July 2020

And I am back - woohoo! I am so happy to be back at work, seeing my colleagues, chatting to our customers and seeing what has been happening while I was at home. It was certainly a different store I stepped into, with screens and markers on the floor reminding everyone that Covid-19 is still about. As we are starting to live more normally, and following government guidelines we continue to have these in place.

So what have I been up to since I returned? I am trying to visit as many local groups as possible and help wherever I can. From packing food boxes at Community of Helping Hands, making meals bags and helping distribute them at Platform, supplying ingredients and making pancake kits to be delivered by The Glenburn Centre, to donating to the above mentioned groups along with The Mattie Carwood Centre, Carntyne and Riddrie Food Bank, and Molendinar Family Learning Centre. Watch this space for what I am up to next... helping an east end nursery transform their outside area!

I have to say again it’s fantastic to be back and a huge ‘Thank You’ to all my colleagues who have worked hard through this whole time. And remember Click and Collect is now available at Shettleston! This has been a long time coming and proving to be popular. If you haven’t given it a try yet maybe now is the time!
