Tesco Shettleston Extra Community Update July 2019

Updated: Aug 2, 2019

Tesco Shettleston Community Update

It was wonderful to see so many people visit the fabulous Cancer Awareness Road Show which arrived back in-store this month. Cancer Research UK will be returning on the 24th of July... remember to pop this date in your diary and come along to receive some valuable health information.

Ilisa Stack, Artist in Residence for the local community, stopped by with some amazing photos of old and new Shettleston. She photographed customers, discussed what people would like to see in the area and spoke about her aims. Ilisa is really passionate about her work, and Tesco Shettleston were delighted to host her event. Everyone in the store wishes her every success for the future!

The Community Food Connection turned four this month. To mark the occasion, a display was held at the front of the store and Natalie Devlin from the Blue Triangle Housing Association was on hand to answer any questions. The store also welcomed a new organisation to the Food Connection - Shettleston Community Growing Project. There are still a couple of nights free, so if you think your organisation or group could benefit, or to find out more, visit www.fareshare.org.uk.
