I can start this month with amazing news - Tesco Bags of Help scheme has reopened for new applications! After our fantastic Centenary Grants Awards, it’s now time for us to get back to our local groups. Our grants of £2000, £1000 and £500 are waiting to go to great causes throughout the UK! Check out if your group can apply by visiting www.groundwork.org.uk/Tesco.

We have some fabulous fun days of fundraising coming up in store in the next few months including Wear A Hat Day on Friday 27th March, where we will raise funds for Brain Tumour Research. I will be in touch with local schools soon to see how we can all get involved and help this amazing cause. Last year our Group 4 stores raised £7104.54. To put this into perspective it costs £2740 per day of research into treatments and cures.

Our notice boards had a revamp to show just how we help our Community and how Tesco gives back - have you had a look? Let me know what you think or if there is anything you would like to see?

All requests for donations/bag packs must be made in writing only. If you need information you can get in touch in a few ways - join the Facebook community page at Lu’s Community Page to see the latest news or drop us an email at glasgowshettleston.community@tesco.com. Please remember I work part-time so don’t panic if there is a delay in hearing from me!
