We had hundreds of Lego sets to give out to our community. We shared the Lego love with Peek Project, Helenslea Community, FARE, St Anne’s Primary, St Denis’ Primary, St Michael’s Primary, Dalmarnock Primary, Riverbank Primary and Alexandra Parade primary.
We also donated to Whitehill Parent Council’s Christmas Fayre which will take place on Saturday, 4th December from 11am – 3pm. Join lots of local small businesses and schools that will be selling handmade gifts.
This month we start our annual collection of toys, gifts and clothing which will be distributed to lots of local children’s charities in the east end. We are also collecting tins of biscuits and sweeties to share with our senior citizens in local care homes. There will be a big cage in front of the checkouts where you can donate gifts and we will keep you posted on where your gifts are going.
Remember to pick up your blue token in store and vote for one of the three projects in our Tesco Community Grants scheme, which are Whitehill Parent Council - to create a quiet sensory garden area, Meal Makers - to cook meals for isolated older people and Shelter Scotland who are working to prevent homelessness. Each project can win up to £1,500, £1,000, and £500. Tokens are available until 31st December.
